We utilize ultra-low profile UFO layout boats to disappear into the decoy spread. This puts you eye-to-eye with incoming birds for heart-pounding, close-up action. Important: The birds are miles offshore and we bring you to them. The old squaw aka ‘long tail’ come into the great lakes during their migration south. They are a beautiful bird and like divers are flying very fast. This is a great bird to get mounted.

What’s NOT Included
- Hunting licenses- You must have a valid Michigan Base License, Waterfowl License, Federal Duck Stamp, and HIP Survey.
- Shotshells – ONLY non toxic shot allowed. We recommend #2-3 Steel or #4-5 Bismuth for layout hunts.
- Shotguns: Must be plugged to hold ONLY maximum 3 shells. You can only bring ONE gun per hunter (MI state law). Recommend using an Open choke for close up and fast action: Cylinder or Improved Cylinder.
- Clothing: Waterproof jackets and pants are mandatory. Waders are optional but highly recommended for stay-dry comfort. I usually wear waders when I get in a layout boat.
